The Owner is seeking a couple who will partner with her to take the farm to the next level in its second decade. It is envisioned that one member of the couple will be primarily responsible for administrative duties and one will be primarily responsible for farm operations. Two-bedroom apartment provided.
With support from Owner and farm crew, oversee management of all aspects of farm:
Maintenance of facilities and property
Cultivation of crops
Beekeeping
Production of value-added products
Ag-tourism program
Education
Administrative tasks
Sales & Marketing
Planning
And, of course, farm staff
Bachelor’s degree in soils science, sustainable agriculture or agronomy preferred, but degree in related field and/or farm management will be considered.
Minimum of 8 years of experience with, at least, 3 years management experience of sustainably grown produce farm and 5 years of hands-on growing experience, some of which ideally should be in high altitude or short growing season environments.
