This position will begin no later than March first {possibly earlier} and I will need you to work 3 days per week through the month of July at which time there would be the option of staying on but as a rent/work exchange since the nursery season slows down so much . The work includes propagating a huge diversity of Medicinal plants, potting up, dividing, general nursery organization and maintenance ,Preparing plants for sale,and spending time in the packing shed boxing and shipping them . Wages are $12 to $15 per hour depending on experience . You will have a small cozy Cabin to live in on the property. You will also have access to duck and chicken eggs and a vegie garden in exchange for some volunteer time toward those projects .
You will be the main employee to help with alot of constant propagation, soil mixing , organizing the nursery, Prepping plants for sale, packing plants to ship and possibly occasional computerwork {data entry or tag making}
You will generally work 3 days per week possibly some extra time at the height of the season in April/May you will also be expected to do some caretaking of the nursery as well .
Prior experience with plant propagation and familiarity with Medicinal Herbs would be ideal .Working knowledge of basic greenhouse skills and and experience packing and shipping also a plus . A love of plants and attention to detail is very helpful. You will be trained but prior plant experience is best.
