Cultivating Diversity in the Ecological Farming Community

Diversity is important to an ecological farm.  Diversity of production, of funding sources, of sales outlets.  Diversity is important to the ecological farming community, too. The community should contain a culturally diverse group of stakeholders, but all too often it hasn't been very diverse at all.  However, things are changing, with more people of color, more women, and more LGBT people many of them young, moving to the farm and working alongside farmers.  Our diverse group of panelists will talk about the challenges of building local, sustainable food enterprise networks in under-served neighborhoods, enlisting a diverse community to do so.
