Man does not live on kohlrabi alone. Robert Bly describes “eating the honey of words:” we’ll commune to get our hands and mouths sticky with words about farming, nature, tools, bees, compost, animals, ecology, seeds, rain, flowers. Bring poems to share—your own originals, written on your afternoon siestas as you sat in the shade of a peach tree, and your favorites, the poems that brought you to the earth, the poems that keep you hoeing—or come only to listen and taste. Farmer-poet and poemshare guide Jeremy Benson will bring a selection of poems to share, too, if you want to borrow one. It will be a potluck of poems, a feasting.
