Presentation & Discussion: Food Sovereignty in Indian Country

Presenters will explore how a community garden can improve a tribal communities’ mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health. Workshop participants will learn what two different tribal communities have done with limited funding to establish community gardens on their tribal lands. In addition, participants will learn what these communities are currently doing to increase access to, and awareness of, healthy, traditional, responsibly grown foods.
