From increased demand for organic production, to more wholesale competition, to bigger and bigger players getting in the game, we’re seeing unprecedented pressure placed on both small and mid-sized growers, the independent wholesalers that support them, and independent retailers. This session will be structured as a facilitated discussion group; all attendees are encouraged to participate. How can we work in collaboration to address these rapidly changing tides? What are some creative solutions to differentiating yourself in the marketplace? How do you avoid the pitfalls of “the race to the bottom”? What have you seen in your community that has made positive strides?
