To date, City Slicker Farms, GRuB, and Sierra Harvest have built over 1000 gardens in their respective communities: in backyards, hospitals, apartment buildings, schools and more. Come learn how these programs are addressing food security and community well-being by teaching low-income families to grow their own food by providing gardens, starts, seeds, mentorship, cooking and gardening classes. By supporting participants to grow and cook their own food, members of these communities are less reliant on food banks and medications, and more mentally, physically and emotionally healthy.
