For over 40 years, Orin Martin has instructed thousands of farmers and gardeners in the art and craft of growing fruit trees organically. In this workshop, Orin will help you delve into the intricacies of orchard craft: selecting a good site for an orchard; properly preparing the soil; and managing fertility, pests and diseases. Throughout the session, Orin will answer any questions you may have—although an hour and a half is hardly enough time to disseminate 40 years of experience. Orin recently compiled his years of hard-won wisdom into an approachable book called Fruit Trees for Every Garden. Whether you have an interest in growing one tree, one thousand trees, or anything in between, you will learn and benefit from Orin’s knowledge.
