As a beginning organic farmer, it can be challenging to identify which organic management strategies will set you up for success and help avoid expensive pitfalls. The Organic Farming Research Foundation, University of California Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program, and CalPoly, are creating a free online training program to provide California organic specialty crop farmers with information to help them make wise management and production decisions. In this workshop, experts involved in creating the training program will share insights and plans for getting through those tough first years. An interactive session will allow farmers to discuss their most pressing challenges.
