Getting Your Farm Business on the Right Legal & Financial Footing

This workshop will help beginning farmers and ranchers develop a solid legal and financial business plan to address issues associated with owning or leasing farmland, and owning and operating a farm business. Topics will include understanding tax and liability consequences of your choice of business entity; cash-flow budgeting; how taxes affect access to credit; how to set up a bookkeeping system; and other information about farm taxes.
