Out in the Field: Queer Farmers Share Experiences

Queer farmers are integral – but historically under-celebrated – members of the ecological farming community. We will hear three queer and trans farmers from diverse backgrounds who will share their experiences and reflections on the intersections of queerness and agriculture. Then we will open the workshop for discussion. Topics include what it means to be a queer farmer, queer representation in marketing, best practices for agricultural institutions and organizations, and how to support queer and trans youth in agricultural education programs.
