Inspired foodies and growers alike know that apples are among the most stable and diverse of crop choices. The secret to being successful as an apple grower in competition with corporate apple production – and their patents and "club" varieties – is to choose varieties wisely from among cherished heirlooms and/or some of the newest disease-resistant and high quality varieties. This session will highlight a selection of old and new varieties, and provide tips for production and marketing from experienced growers.
