There are few fruit trees that produce from seed, and a few that can be grown by rooting cuttings and air layers. Most fruit trees are propagated by grafting onto rootstocks. The presenters will share some history of the cultivation of fruit trees and discuss the different types of propagation and how to do it. There will be a demonstration of several grafting techniques. Participants will leave this session prepared to collect and use scions from the scion swap on Thursday evening!
