Turning the “Problems” of Pests and Invasive Species into Functional Farm Solutions

This dynamic workshop will explore managing agro-ecosystems for maximum diversity and productivity. Tao Orion, author of Beyond the War on Invasive Species, will discuss holistic and organic methods of farm-scale invasive species management. Eric Lee-Mäder, author of Farming with Native Beneficial Insects and pollinator program co-director of the Xerces Society, will explain the latest practical science-based information on how to attract and sustain populations of beneficial insects using habitat features like wildflower insectary strips, hedgerows, beetle banks, cover cropping, and more.

* This  workshop is approved for 1.5 Pest Management CEU credits for Certified Crop Advisors and 1.5 Other CEU credits for Pest Control Advisors.
